Description: In his early twenties Bardi Man, Paul Wiggan lives with the dichotomy of two cultures. Choosing to uphold his traditional law he has found spiritual balance within his contemporary lifestyle. The Ilma is part of a three-fold tradition of song, dance and art for the Saltwater people of the Kimberley. These stunning totems, represent visually, important elements of nature. They are said to be received from rai, spirits of dead men.
